A serial input Phase-Lock Loop （PLL） frequency synthesizer and programmable dividing frequency Integrated Circuit （IC）, LMX1501 can be employed in cellular telephone systems, portable wireless communications, advanced cordless telephone systems and other wireless communication systems. This paper presents its inner structure, pins description and elementary functions in detail. Then the PLL circuit of wireless radio is designed by using LMX1501.
