Causes of the current problems in rock drift drivage are analyzed, and a theory is proposed for optimizing rock drift drivage operation by means of the new technology of rock fracture-controlled blasting and relevant scientific management methods for solving problems such as poor drift profiling, low advance rate and productivity, and severe waste of materials. The technology has resulted in satisfactory economic and social benefits in field application.
