The level of peripheral blood T lymphocyte subpopulations was observed in patients of cerebral hemorrhage (CH) complicated with multiple organ failure (MOF) and in normal controls. the results ahowed that the decrease of blood CD + 3 (40.61±4.53), CD + 4 (28.36±4.71) CD + 8 (23.22±6.76) was of significance in CH with MOF, which suggested that the main reason for the change of T lymphocyte subpopulations may be related to cerebral edema caused by CH that destoried the secrection of catecholamine and dopamine , and that affected the production and stimulation of T lymphocyte. In addition, hypoxia and carbon dioxid rtention caused by CH which involved the respiratory center and complicated with pulmonary infection may also have effect on the production of T lymphocyte.
