This paper systematically covered some aspects in regard to ISO14000: ① The background of thepresentation of ISO 14000; ②ISO 14000 environmental management standard series; ③ Characteristics of ISO 14000 standard series; ④ ISO 14000 benefits enterprises; ⑤ The trend of ISO14000 in countries around the world; ⑥ China’s reaction to ISO 14000; ⑦ The pilot programme of ISO 14000 registration in China; ⑧ The guiding principles of ISO 14000 implementation in China; ⑨ Some requirements from Chinese government to the implementation ofISO 14000, and ⑩ Some suggestions to the implementation of ISO 14000 in China from theauthor.
