摘要
在国际竞争中软实力的作用日益突出,中国必须更加重视软实力建设。语言文字的运用是文化软实力建设的一个重要方面。但是,英语在中文语境下的泛滥,对中国文化软实力建设带来不利影响。参照世界上其他国家应对英语泛滥的做法,建议通过立法限制中英文混杂使用的现象;建立国家级外来词语翻译专家委员会,在互联网建立统一译名平台;同时,汉语也实施水平测试;在大学英语课程的教学内容中加入中国文化部分;城市道路牌标等应该禁用英文。
China has to put more emphasis on the construction of soft power, which is playing a prominent role in international competition. Language is one key aspect in the cultural construction of soft power. However, the overuse of English under Chinese context is bound to have some negative impacts on the cultural construction of China＇s soft power. In the light of the experiences of curbing the overuse of English in other countries, this article offers some suggestions： limiting the use of English under Chinese context by means of legislation, establishing national expert councils to translate foreign words into Chinese and building a platform on internet for the unified translated terms, organizing Chinese proficiency tests, adding Chinese culture into college English textbooks and forbidding the use of English on city road signs.
