This paper focuses on the contest among big powers, such as the US, EU, Japan and Russia, in the Middle East after 9/11. Based on geopolitics, economic interest and power struggle in the Middle East, the competition of those powers mentioned above has made far-reaching influence on the regional situation, and the contest challenges the dominant role of the US in the Middle East. The political and social development of the Middle East in the future may again fall into the vicious circle of power struggle.
