摘要
大众文化是近代以来通俗文化、传播文化、消费文化、商业文化的复合体。自鸦片战争以降,中国开始了工业化、城市化历程,中国的大众文化于此时初现端倪。然而,由于中国近代社会特殊的发展历程,致使大众文化仅限于在少数开埠城市中发展。此一时期的大众文化已经初具商业性、娱乐性、媚俗性和技术性等特征。
Modem mass culture is the complex of popular culture, communication culture, consumption culture, business culture. China started the industrialization and urbanization process since the Opium War, and mass culture emerged at the same time. However, Chinese special modem social development history limited mass culture to develop in only a small number of port cities. But in this period, mass culture already had characteristics such as commercial, entertainment, kitsch and technical.
