摘要
介绍了在利用小波变换进行图像压缩时,小波基选择一般需要考虑的几个方面。并通过实验数据说明了不同的小波基对BMP类图像压缩产生的影响。然后对基于小波变换的嵌入式图像编码方法中最具代表性的EZW编码算法的原理进行了分析,并通过实验对EZW算法进行了性能分析及其改进,给出了实验结果。
This paper first introduces some important considerations for choosing wavelet basis when wavelet transform is used to perform image compression, and the experimental results shows that the different wavelet bases have different effects on image compression of BMP type. The EZW is representative methods in embedded image coding algorithms based on wavelet transform. In this paper, the main principle, particularly the performance of EZW algorithm, is analyzed and improved through experiments.
