摘要
美国为后起的资本主义国家,其社会政治和思想文化均有后发型特色,美国近代哲学大都是从欧洲输入的,但又适应美国的特殊条件作了改造。它们更加关注特定的现实生活和实践问题的解决,而不是建构严密完整的理论体系。美国近代哲学在理论深度上稍逊于欧洲哲学,在促进现实生活的发展上又胜于欧洲哲学。
As a late-coming capitalist country, the political and ideological cultures of America have late coming features. Modem American philosophies were imported from Europe, but were reconstructed adaptable to American special condition. What they really concerned is to solve the problems in the real life and practice rather than to construct strict and integrated theoretical system. Compare to European, Modern American philosophy is slightly inferior by theoretical deepness, but has better function in promotion of the development of real life.
