摘要 促红细胞生成素作为一种传统意义上的造血生长因子,有着造血作用以外的重要生物学作用。促红细胞生成素可受缺氧诱导,在神经系统广泛表达;其对神经系统的保护是通过对神经元、神经胶质、神经祖细胞以及脑血管内皮细胞功能的影响而实现的。促红细胞生成素强大神经保护潜力的发现,开辟了神经系统疾病新的治疗途径。 As a traditionally hematopoietic factor, Erythropoietin(EPO) has other important biologic effects besides hematogenesis. EPO can be induced by hypoxia and can express extensively in the nervous system; It exerts neuroprotection by affecting functions of neurons, glias, neural progenitor ceils and cerebrovascular endothelial cells. The discovery of the great neuroprotective potential of EPO has opened a new therapy for diseases in nervous systerm.
