摘要
KDE与GNOME是目前Linux/Unix系统最流行的图形操作环境,Linux实际上是Unix类系统中的一个特殊版本,KDE符合GPL规范,以免费和开放源代码的方式运行,KDE选择在Qt平台的基础上开发,Qt却是一个不遵循GPL的商业软件。GNOME选择完全遵循GPL的GTK图形界面库为基础,GTK采用较传统的C语言,GNOME/GTK完全遵循GPL版权公约。KDE和GNOME将进行更高等级的融合,但两者大概永远都不会合为一体——GNOME还是GNOME,KDE也还是KDE。
