摘要
自索绪尔提出语言符号的任意性后,语言哲学界对此展开了长期的争论。在综观相关研究成果的基础上,把争论的观点归纳为三类,并从认知语言学的角度提出了自己的思考。
Saussure＇ s claim that ＂arbitrariness is the first important principle of linguistic signs＂ has aroused long-term de- bate on the philosophic issue： motivation or arbitrariness of language. Saussure＇ s arbitrariness and the relevant debates can be discussed and interpretated from the perspective of cognitive linguistics.
