摘要
重庆是地处长江上游典型的内陆城市。从1876年的《中英烟台条约》到1890年的《烟台条约续增专条》,再到1891年重庆开埠,重庆开始了城市近代化的历程。从其走上近代化道路的时间上看,比长江下游、东南沿海城市要晚,原因是多方面的,主要有历史条件、特殊地理环境、国内经济、政治等方面的影响。
Chongqing is an inland city located at the upper reaches of the Changjiang River. Chongqing began to open to outside world in 1891 from 1876 China and Britain Yantai Treaty and to 1890 Yantai Treaty Amendment and from then on Chongqing initiated modernization process. From the angle of initiating time, Chonqing＇ s modernization process lags behind the cities at the middle and lower reaches of Yangtze River and at costal areas, which is caused by historic condition, special geological environment, domestic economy, politics and so on.
