The physical and chemical principles of broiler skin＇s yellow color were shortly summarized, and the kinds, characteristics, ways of deposition, the related effecting factors （including heredity, conditions, nutrition ＆ feed additive, healthy organism, breeding management and origins of pigment） of yellow pigments and their application on broiler production were expounded in detail.
