摘要
隐喻理论的研究已有二千多年的历史,传统把它作为诗学、修辞学的一部分内容。如今隐喻研究已经突破了修辞范畴,隐喻被认为是人类认知的基本模式。本文主要介绍了隐喻的功能,阐述了隐喻对语言发展的影响及其文化内涵,进而探讨了隐喻理论之于教学的意义。
The study of metaphor lasts for more than two thousand years. Traditional study of metaphor is part of poetics and rhetoric. Metaphor studies have broken the area of rhetoric, and metaphor is considered the basic pattern of human cognition in nowadays. This paper introduces the function of metaphor, elaborates the influence of metaphor on language and its cultural connotation. Then it explores the applied linguistic significance of metaphorical theory on teaching.
