摘要
存储管理的复杂性已经成为阻碍SAN(Storage Area Network)在企业中获得广泛应用的一个重要原因。为此,存储网络工业协会(Storage Network Industry Association,SNIA)制定了Storage Management Ini-tiative-Specification(SMI-S),旨在标准化存储管理接口,从而降低存储管理的复杂性。该规范目前已经为业界所广泛接受。本文对存储管理框架的发展作一个综述,给读者一个全面而整体的了解。
The complexity of storage management has become an important factor that slows down the adoption of SAN （Storage Area Network）. In an attempt to standardize the storage management interfaces and reduce management complexity, Storage Network Industry Association （SNIA） established Storage Management Initiative-Specification（SMI-S）which has been broadly accepted by the storage industry. We give an overview of the development of storage management architecture to make readers understand all through.
