摘要
《中华人民共和国突发事件应对法》（以下简称《突发事件应对法》）于2007年8月30日由第十届全国人大常委会第二十九次会议通过，自2007年11月1日起施行。这部法律的制定，以宪法为依据，以维护国家安全、公共安全、环境安全和社会秩序为宗旨，科学总结多年来中国应对各类突发事件的经验，坚持以人为本，全面规范突发事件应对活动。
The Law of the People＇s Republic of China on Response to Emergencies （hereinafter referred to as ＂the Law on Response to Emergencies＂） was adopted by the Standing Committee of the 10^th National People＇s Congress （NPC） -China＇s national legislature - at its 29^th session in Beijing on August 30, 2007, and goes into effect on November 1, 2007.
