摘要
本文先以美国为例，简介其过去半个世纪中有关外语教育政策的重大事件和决策，并以此为政策背景和发展动向，从战略的高度探讨当前国际政治形势观照下我国外语教育政策的制定取向。
This paper firstly describes some historical events and policies concerning foreign language education in America in the past five decades, which have demonstrated that their fundamental characteristic is the orientation of national security. Against such international background of language policy formulation and implementation, the paper explores some guidance about the revision of the national foreign language education policy at strategic level in current China.
