Significance of Raising Teachers' Scientific Research Ability in the Teaching in Non-governmental Institutions of Higher Learning

摘要 如何正确处理教学与科研的关系,是高校普遍存在和需要解决的一个突出问题,随着民办高校的长足发展,这个问题也日益凸显出来。教学与科研的双重任务,给民办高校教师带来更大的压力。民办高校必须充分认识本校教育教学的特点,正确处理好教学与科研的关系,将教学过程视为科研过程,以科研促进教学水平的提高,在教学实践中不断提高教师的科研能力。这是提高民办高校办学声誉的当务之急,也是民办高校持续发展的强校之本。 Correctly handling the relation between teaching and scientific research is a prominent problem that universally exists and needs solving in institutions of higher learning. With the full development of non-governmental institutions of higher learning, this problem becomes distinct day by day. The dual task of teaching and research exerts high pressure on the teachers in non-gov- ernmental institutions of higher learning, Non-governmental institutions of higher learning must fully recognize the features of the educational and teaching practice of non-governmental institutions of higher learning, correctly handle the relation between teach- ing and research, and regard the teaching process as the research process so as to promote the enhancement of the teaching level with the scientific research and to raise the teachers' research ability through the teaching practice. It is of paramount importance to heighten the reputation of non-governmental institutions of higher learning in school-running, and is also essential for building up a high-quality school through sustainable development.
