中国工商银行成立于1984年1月。2005年10月28日,根据国务院的决定,由财政部、汇金公司发起设立,整体改建为中国工商银行股份有限公司(以下简称"本公司")。2006年上半年,公司完成了高盛集团、安联集团、美国运通以及社保基金理事会的引进工作,并与之建立了战略合作关系。2006年10月27日,本公司在上海和香港两地同时发行上市,成功提升了本公司的国际市场地位和竞争发展实力。截至2006年末,本公司资本净额达到5308.05亿元,核心资本净额达到4620.19亿元,资本充足率和核心资本充足率分别达到14.05%和12.23%;总市值超过2500亿美元,以市值计不仅在中国A股成为市值最大的上市公司,而且跻身于亚洲最大、全球排名前三位的上市银行。
On October 28,2005,according to the State Council's decision,the Ministry of Fi-nance and the Central Huijin Investment initiated the establishment of Industrial and Com-mercial Bank of China Co.,Ltd. In the first half of 2006,ICBC completed establishing a strategic cooperative relationship with the Goldman Sachs Group,Allianz Group,American Express and Social Security Fund Council. On October 27,2006,ICBC succeeded in A+H simultaneous listing. With a total market value of over USD 250 billion,ICBC has become the largest listed corporate of A-shares and Asia's largest listed bank,and among the top three listed banks in the world.
