Distance Looks Our Way: New Zealand Film History
摘要
新西兰早期电影史有与世界许多其他国家相似的发展轨迹：1896年第一次公开放映电影；第一部故事片摄制于1914年（Hinemoa，已失传）；1928年首次放映有声电影；1929年拍摄第一部有声纪录片；1935年摄制首部有声电影。但是与许多其他国家不尽相同的是，新西兰一直到20世纪70年代末期才有一个持续发展的故事片电影工业。
