摘要
本文以英语专业二年级大学生为调查对象,调查使用不同词典对学习者阅读理解能力的影响情况。统计结果显示英语专业二年级学生在阅读时,单语和双语词典都能在不同程度上帮助学习者提高阅读理解能力;其中,使用英汉双语词典的学生在阅读理解测试中得分(M=16.86)高于使用英英单语词典(M=16.26)和不用任何词典的控制组学生(M=14.73)。
Based on the research conducted on sophomores majoring in English, this paper intends to explore the relationship between learner' s choice of dictionaries and their reading comprehension proficiency. Statistics shows that both Bilingual and Monolingual Dictionaries aid students to comprehend a text more efficiently. Comparatively speaking, bilingual dictionaries seem more helpful than monolingual ones.
