摘要
自2000起逐步在全国推广的专科英语应用能力考试,进一步规范了高职高专英语教学与测试,激发了教师教学与学生学习的积极性,有力地促进了专科英语水平的提高。但必须指出的是,与全国的许多专科院校一样,目前我校应用技术学院的专科英语教学的质量、成效虽然以全国应用英语能力考试的成绩来看是属于重庆市前列,但与21世纪我国经济社会发展的要求还存在着明显差距。
With the increasing of the need for highly--educated polytechnic talents1 vocational colleges are rapidly developed. The students in vocational colleges, as a new educated group, are better than the students in middle technical schools and are much different from the students of general colleges and universities and are special. This paper analyzes motivation theory and English learning motivation, meanwhile, as an empirical research report1 this paper analyzes and surveys English learning motivation of the students in Applied Polytechnic School of Chongqing Technology and Business University and gives feasible suggestions for how to cultivate and encourage the students to learn English based on the survey results.
