摘要
20世纪50年代中期所出现的"百花情爱文学",从总体的创作主题上回应着建国初年知识分子精神改造的时代主潮,艺术表现上也符合于两大社会阵营、两大阶级力量对知识分子实施争夺的政治美学,从人物的精神发展的路向方面也暗合着迷途——救赎——重塑的革命文化逻辑。但通过文本细读,不难发现在看似整一的政治训诫模式下,这类小说呈现出结构形态的不对称、主题实现的不确定、环境渲染的阴郁化以及叙事语态的独特性等有别于同期小说的某种新质来。这种新的艺术质素组构的动力来源于这些创作者的年轻生命。他们对时代主题有着明显的年龄化、个人化、情爱化的理解,在对政治观念进行阐释时也更多地带有阶段性生活的情绪。从这个意义上来讲,"百花情爱小说"的种种艺术特征,不过是这些作家青春期症候的艺术展现而已。只不过恰逢了50年代中期文学规范的开禁,这些作品又涉猎了前期作家不敢逾越的情爱生活,故而才有了文学史的意义。
“One hundred flower love literature”, which emerged in the 1950s, is in its overall theme a response to the epochal mainstay trend of the ideological transformation for intellectuals in the first years of New China, complying in artistic forms with the political aesthetics of a contention for intellectuals conducted by two social camps and two class forces as well as corresponding implicitly with the logic of revolutionary culture from loss through redemption to remolding in terms of the spiritual development of characters. Nevertheless, through careful textual analyses, it is easy to discern some fresh features of noyels of this kind such as the asymmetry in structure, the uncertainty of motifs, the gloom of the environmental descriptions and the peculiarity in the narrative tone, etc. which are different from novels of their contemporaries. The power for the unique artistic quality stems from the youthfulness of the authors, for they tend to comprehend the theme of their age from their individualistic and emotional perspective, and moreover, their interpretation of political concepts is chiefly marked by their mood at certain stages of life. Thus the various artistic features of “one hundred flower love novels” are, in this sense, merely the artistic embodiment of the adolescent symptoms on the part of those authors. It is just due to the lift of bans on literary norms in the 1950s and to the portrayal of love in these novels that they are endowed with great significance.
