Aboriginal literature in English,a unique genre that came to flourish in the late 20th century, opens a new field in modern Australian literature and has greatly contributed to its diversity and colourfulness,as it,from its own perspective, brings before the reader the existence of an old yet unfamiliar race.Making a survey of the Australian Aboriginal literature, the author observes a notable characteristic, that is,its striking political inclinations, which are seen in the following aspects:a staunch fight against the White colonization,a cling to the traditional Aboriginal culture and a scramble for the power of discourse.
