从粉碎"四人帮"到十一届三中全会召开前这两年,党的工作取得重大进展,做了几件大事,为十一届三中全会做了准备。这两年基本走向是前进的,不能只说是两年徘徊。但在前进的过程中,围绕"两个凡是"、邓小平复出和天安门事件的平反等发生了曲折和斗争。《关于建国以来党的若干历史问题的决议》对这两年作出的论断"在徘徊中前进"是确切的。如实肯定这两年,既符合历史事实,也符合决议的精神。
In the two years from smashing the'Gang of Four'to the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee the Party achieved great progress in its work,undertaking several major endeavors and making preparations for the Third Plenary Session.It went forward and could not be said to make no headway in the two years.However,in the course of its progress there were twists and turns and struggles around the erroneous'two-whatever's',reinstating Deng Xiaoping and reversing the unjust verdict of the'Tian'anmen Incident'of 1976.The Resolution on Certain Questions in the History of Our Party since the Founding of the People's Republic of China made an appropriate appraisal of this period:'the two years when our Party advanced haltingly in its work.'Accurately affirming the two years conforms both to the historical facts and the spirit of the second Resolution on Certain Questions in the History of Our Party.
