摘要
向秀的《庄子注》早已散佚,我们现在所能见到的就只有他的《闻笛赋》和《难养生论》。《闻笛赋》是一篇文学作品,篇幅很短,几乎没有什么哲学价值,这一点早为学界所公认。《难养生论》的理论价值稍高一些,但却不能视为向秀的哲学作品。它所概括的只是当时的一些流行看法,其目的乃在给嵇康的理论阐发提供一个平台。目前学术界普遍将它作为向秀的重要理论著作加以引用,这是很不恰当的。
Because Xiang Xiu＇s Zhuang Zi Annotation has been lost, we can only read his Listening to Flute Fu and An Argument against the Theory of Nourishing of Life. Scholars all know that Listening to Flute Fu is a literature works which has hardly any philosophical value, but they do not know that An Argument against the Theory of Nourishing of Life can not be regarded as his philosophical works, though it has higher philosophical value. What it summarizes is some popular conception of that time, just to provide a platform for Ji Kang＇s discussion about the theory of nourishing of life. It is very unsuitable that scholars presently cite this thesis as Ji Kang＇s academic writing.
