Dan Brown's fictional thriller The Da Vinci Code gains favor in the reading public and critics since it was published, and was highly praised by The New York Times. The novel covers architecture, history, culture, religion and other fields of knowledge, with good combination of historical facts and suspense, art and thrill, though it amuses a lot of controversy and suspicion,we can not say that it is not an excellent work in the history of literature. This thesis will analyze The Da Vinci Code as a version with the features of postmodernism and approach its indeterminacy from three angles : language, reality and character.
