摘要
综观三千年的欧美文学发展,从古代文学的诗歌、神话传说,中世纪的史诗、传奇至文艺复兴的成就,文学一路走来。随着资本主义的发展、革命,各种文学思潮,文学运动兴起。到了19世纪,欧洲进入资本主义社会,文学同时也开辟了它的新局面。直至20世纪末期,各种文学流派轮番登场,复杂多样,展现出一派欣欣向荣的景象。究其原因,文学的发展其本质上是由于社会原因造成的,即政治、经济的发展决定了文学的发展与兴衰。
Ettmpean literature have been developing for flrree thousand years,from the ancient poetry, legend and epic in middle ages to renaissance period . Along with Capitalism＇ revolution, different literature genres appears, flourishing in 20th centuries. The essential masons for it are that, social conditions decide literature＇s prosperity and decline--both political and economic development decide it.
