Taking the gypsum breccia portion of Z5 bid section of Taihangshan tunnel on Shijiazhuang - Taiyuan passenger-dedicated railway as project case, the authors present the physical composition and engineering behavior of gypsum breccia and the construction plans and countermeasures taken so as to ensure the construction safety.
