材质是建筑营造过程中的物质基础,反映一个时代生产力发展水平。它与建筑结构和自然秩序相融合,共同组构成具有精神力量的、人文价值的建筑空间。相同的材料在不同艺术家手里,将展示完全不一样的造型。材料的表现力只有在更广博的文化背景中才能够被理解,最终使建筑上升到艺术层面。
Material is the fundamental element in the procession of construction and it is closely related to the level of produetivity. This article points out that materiality is the substantial support of the place of architectural space, full of spirit and the inner humanities value, comes into being by composed of materiality, the structure and the order of nature. The same material will display different shapes and visual properties. Only as in the widely euhural backgrounds, could the outer expresaion of ,naterial is comprehensible, could the architecture become a work of art.
