摘要
运动补偿是动态图像压缩的主要技术之一.本文从运动场的均匀性出发,结合传统的搜索方法,提出一种改善运动矢量搜索效率的方法.实验结果表明该方法不仅可以减少搜索次数,而且在相同的恢复图像质量时,数码率减少了15~30%.
Motion compensation is key technique for image sequence coding. This paper reports an improved motion estimation method by considering the homogeneity of motion fields.Comparing with the results of MPEG-I, 15~30% bit rate reduction can be obtained with the same quality of picture.
