管胞长度自髓心向外,1~11a迅速增加,11a后管胞长度增加缓慢,11~26a保持相对稳定,26a后有少许的波动;管胞长度沿树干自基部向上逐渐增加,3.3~5.3m处达到最大,然后向上变短,树冠区域管胞长度最短。管胞直径与胞壁厚度在径向上变异模式基本相同,径向上从髓心向外先增加后稳定,但是胞壁厚度变化幅度比较平稳;轴向上管胞直径先有少许的增加后减少,胞壁厚度则基本呈减少趋势。管胞长宽比径向变异与管胞长度的类似,也是在11a后趋向稳定。管胞壁腔比在径向上先增加后减少,但是相对于其它性状来说,其变异模式波动较大。日本花柏平均管胞长度为1.94mm,管胞直径为27.8μm,胞壁厚度4.89μm,长宽比61.0,壁腔比0.192,为优良的造纸原料。其木材幼龄期为11a,且幼龄材与成熟材的差异大。
An experiment was conducted to study the wood juvenile period and the variant patterns in tracheid morphological features of 33-year-old Sawara Falsecypress plantation of Jiuhua Forest Farm in the west of Hubei Province. Tracheid length from pith outward increases rapidly before 11-year-old, and then increases slowly and remains relatively stable between 11 and 26 years, but slightly fluctuates after 26 years. Tracheid length increases progressively from the base upward, maximizes at 3.3 - 5.3 m, and decreases to the top of the tree. Variant patterns of tracheid diameter and tracheid double wall thickness are similar in radical direction, and they increase first from pith outward and then level off, but variation of tracheid double wall thickness is smaller than that of tracheid diameter. Along the stem, the tracheid diameter increases first from base to top, and then decreases, and tracheid double wall thickness also shows a decreasing pattern. Variation of tracheid length-width ratio, which is similar to that of the tracheid length, tends to level off after 11 years as well. The ratio of tracheid double wall thickness to diameter increases first and then decreases in radical direction, and it shows a larger variant extent compared with others. The anatomical property indexes of 33-year-old Sawara Falsecypress trees are obtained as average of tracheid length 1.94 mm, tracheid diameter 27.8μm, tracheid double wall thickness 4.89 μm, tracheid length-width radio 61.0, and ratio of tracheid double wall thickness to diameter 0. 192, which satisfy the quality demand of excellent materials for paper-making. The wood juvenile period of Sawara Falsecypress is 11 -year-old, and the difference in tracheid morphological features between juvenile and mature wood is large.
