摘要
关于扬雄的姓,讨论甚多,大多以为应从“木”作“杨”。也有学者以为应从“手”作“扬”,但论证不很有力。本文从汉人取名方式、扬雄姓名的出处、后代扬姓人的认同、误“扬”为“杨”的原因等方面入手,并运用了不少新资料,证明扬雄的姓应从“手”。
A study of Chinese nomenclature, the origin of the surname 扬雄, common recognition of the descendants, the reasons for mistaking 扬 for 杨, as well as some newly found data indicates that Chinese ancients mistook 扬 for 杨 in the Chinese surname 扬雄.
