摘要
近年来,英语缩略语在汉语中的使用频率呈不断上升趋势,已经成为汉语语言体系不可或缺的一部分。这一现象引起了我国语言学界对英语缩略语的关注。了解英语缩略语的特点及其翻译方法对扩大我们的知识,了解科学技术的发展,沟通中外学术交流都具有重要的意义。
With the increasing number of English abbreviations used in Chinese in recent years, the abbreviations become an integral part of Chinese language system, as has drawn great attention of the linguists in China. It is of great importance to have a better understanding of the abbreviations and the ways of translating them so as to widen our eyesight, keep a close eye on the development of modem science and technology, and communicate with the foreign academic world.
