摘要
本文在回顾了中国现代城市规划产生与发展历程的基础上，对中国在计划经济体制下的规划特点与西方国家市场经济下的规划进行了比较．针对当今中国经济发展起来越走向市场化的情况，作者分析了中国城市规划师所面临的机遇和挑战．
This article reviewed the birth of the modern urban planning profession in China,compared the notion of ' planning' in the planned cconomy in China and that of the market in western countries. Given the inereasing of the market componcnts in China's cconomy, the author analyzed the opportunities and challenges facing Chinese planners.
