摘要 介绍了一种与ZigBee/802.15.4协议兼容的MaxStream公司推出的RF模块XBee/XBeePro的性能特点、引脚功能、操作模式及其在小型无线传感网络中的应用。该模块设计满足IEEE 802.15.4标准,具有DSSS(直接序列扩频)功能;硬件采用标准UART接口;具有接收、发送、睡眠、命令和空模式等5种操作模式。该模块具有体积小、功耗低、接口简单、易于组网以及升级方便等优点,适用于较低数据速率的短距离通信应用,尤其在智能无线传感网络设计中有着广阔的应用前景。 This paper presents the performance, pin descriptions, operation mode, and application of a ZigBee/IEEE 802.15.4 compatible RF module XBee/XBee Pro, which is from MaxStream Inc. These modules were engineered to meet IEEE 802. 15.4 standards, and support Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum (DSSS), and can be interfaced to a host device through Universal Asynchronous Receiver/Transmitter ( UART ) port , and operate in five modes : transmit mode , receive mode , sleep mode , command mode , and idle mode. These modules have the advantage of small size, low power consumption, simple interface, and flexible upgrade methods; and they will be applicable to the communication system with lower data rate and shorter range; and will gain popularity in the Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) applications especially.
