摘要
20世纪国外莎士比亚研究进入到一个新的历史时期,莎士比亚的历史剧成为一个独立的研究领域。学者们改变了以往分散、零散的单篇分析的方式,把10部英国史剧作为一个整体,对其连续性、主题及艺术手法等方面全面考察;同时,20世纪各种新的批评方法也涉足莎学,这些新方法的应用,使历史剧的批评展现出不同以往的新特点。
The 20th century witnessed a new historical stage to study the works of Shakespeare, the study of whose historical plays have become an independent research field. Different from the past method of studying one play at one time, scholars had an overall study on the continuity, themeand artistic skills by taking 10 English historical plays as a whole; meanwhile, the application of some new critical methods in 20th century into the study of Shakespeare will make the criticism of historical plays show a new character different from the past.
