摘要
以言语交际中作为话语标记语的Whatever为研究对象,以认知语用为视角,借助元语用意识理论和关联理论,探讨了不同语境条件下它的三个话语标记功能:(1)标示消极情感功能;(2)强调或突出命题功能;(3)连贯或终结话语功能。类似的微观研究有助于我们更科学地解释话语的生成和理解,更进一步了解人们对语言的认知心理轨迹。
This article focuses on WHATEVER as a discourse marker, which, in verbal communication, has made its way into the language to indicate the metapragmatic awareness of the speaker and explicate the best relevance in the discourse. In different context, WHATEVER respectively functions as a negative attitude indicator, an emphatic variant and the link or terminator of a discourse. Such a study from a micro perspective might help to better understand the cognitive process in the construction and interpretation of a discourse.
