After ten days on the lam, Jia Yun, chairman of Pikawang International Group, was arrested by police in Jinhua, a city in Zhejiang Province. On February 2 of this year, Jia, a People＇s Congress representative for Dongyang county city and Jianhua city, was placed under ＂doubleregulations＂ by the party disciplinary committee, a form of house arrest for Party members whereby the detainee must appear at a said time and place for questioning. However, Jia managed to escape at the end of the month, ostensibly by sending one of his two minders out for ＂midnight snacks＂ and then knocking the other one unconscious, according to a Southern Weekend article provided by East South North West blog. The reasons for his detention remain murky.
