摘要
从文化的角度,用丹麦学者Hofstede提出的三个文化价值维度“个人—集体主义”、“权利距离”及“不确定性避免”来分析实际教学法在中国受挫的原因。笔者认为,其原因之一是它所隐含的西方文化价值取向与中国传统文化强调“集体主义”、“权利距离”及“高度避免不确定性”相冲突的结果。笔者也借此呼吁中国的语言学家及教师们能找到一条将交际教学法的主要原则与中国文化有效事例的道路,以促进其在中国的发展。
This paper attempts to explore its drawbacks in China by employing three cultural dimensions initiated by Hofstede,namely,'individualism-collectivism dimension','power-distance dimension' and 'uncertainty avoidance dimension'.It concludes that because Chinese culture highly emphasizes 'collectivism','power-distance' and it is a high-uncertaintyavoidance country,these factors greatly conflict with the cultural values underlying the basic principles of CLT,hence,the CLT's drawbacks in China.Effective integration of CLT and Chinese culture is expected to be found by Chinese linguists and English teachers to promote the development of CLT in China.
