摘要
在TC2模型框架下研究了强子对撞机Tevatron和LHC上中性top-pion介子Пt0的产生过程pp(p)→Пt0Пt0和pp(p)→bПt0.研究结果表明,在Tevatron上,这两个过程的产生截面都很小,通过这两个过程我们无法探测到中性top-pion介子.在LHC上,产生截面会大大增加,但通过Пt0Пt0的产生仍无法探测到中性top-pion介子.bПt0在LHC上的产生截面能达到几百个fb甚至pb的量级,LHC每年能产生104-105个bПt0事例.另外,味改变耦合Пt0tc的存在,使得实验能通过背景非常干净的衰变道Пt0→tc来探测Пt0.因此,通过bПt0这一产生机制,未来的LHC实验应能获得足够多的可鉴别的Пt0事例.我们的研究结果,可为LHC上寻找中性top-pions介子检验TC2模型提供有价值的理论指导.
In the framework of the topcolor-assisted Technicolor(TC2) model, the neutral top-pion (∏0t) production →∏0t∏0t and pp(pp-) --∏0t , are studied. The results show processes at hadron colliders(Tevatron and LHC), pp(pp-) ∏0t∏0t that the cross sections of these two processes at Tevatron are too small to observe ∏0t. The cross sections can be significantly enhanced at LHC, but ∏0t is also not observable via ∏0t∏0t production at LHC. The cross section of b∏0t production reaches the level of a few hundred fb even a few pb at LHC and 10^4-10^5 events can be produced each year. Furthermore, Due to the existence of the flavor-changing coupling ∏0ttc-, ∏0t can be experimentally detected via the decay mode ∏0t → tc- with the clean background. Therefore, the enough distinguished ∏0t events would be obtained via the b∏0t production at LHC future experiments. Our study can provide the valuable theoretical information for probing neutral top-pion and testing TC2 model at LHC.
