本文记述采自安徽含山熔洞的一米虾新种——含山米虾Caridina hanshanensis sp. nov.本新种与近缘种秉氏米虾C. pingi Yu有不同,故订为新种。
The present paper deals with a new species of caridina collected from Anhui in 1982. The (ype specimens are deposited in the Anhui Normal University.Caridina hanshensis sp. nov. (figs. 1-9)The rostrum extends to the extremity of the first segment or second segment of antennular peduncle, in lateral view, it is very narrow and slightly bended downwards, its dorsal border is straight, with 4-11 (most commonly 5-9) teeth, and ventral with 1-3 teeth. The anterola-teral angle is usually without pterygostomian spine.The telson bears 4-6 pair of dorsal spinules, between the pair of terminal spinules at the posterolateral corners, with 4 pair of setae, of which the outermost pair is rather long and coarse, others almost equilengthed.Carpus of the Ist leg about 1.4-1.5 times as long as wide. Propodite of the 3rd leg beyond the extremity of the antennal scale, dactylus is stout and bears 6-9 (most commonly 8) spinules. The outer uropod bears 13-16 spines.Remarks The new species is closely allied to Caridina pingi Yu but differs from the latter in the following features: (1) rostrum is rather short and its dorsal border is straight; (2) the anterolateral angles usually without a pterygostomian spine; (3) the broadly rounded apex of the telson is furnished with 4 pairs of setae, of which the middle pair is not very small; (4) the sexual endopod of the Ist pleopod of the male is a subrectangular, the setae of the anterior half on the outer border are very long; (5) the appendix masculina of the 2nd pleopod of the male is very norrow, its length is about 7.5 times its maximum distal width. Type Locality: Hanshan County (31°45'N, 118°7'E), Anhui Province.
