摘要
翻译的理解过程在翻译实践与教学中常常被笼统化,本文针对这一现象,提出了在翻译教学中要明晰并细化理解过程,从预设背景和历史语境相关理论着手,通过语段的对照分析,重点阐述了将理解过程明晰化的具体操作。文章最后以案例对比的形式,总结并深化了上述理论分析,强调明晰理解过程对提高译文质量的重要作用。
Critiquing the tendency to over-generalize on the step of understanding in translation,this paper calls for a new approach to teaching translation-one that would look closely into,and render clear,the process leading to the understanding of the source text.Specifically,the approach would take as its point of departure the ST's historical context and underlying assumptions,and would clarify the process of understanding by comparing and analyzing components of the text.The theory,is illustrated with contrastive studies of a number of cases.
