铬是人体必需的微量元素,三价铬为葡萄耐量因子GTF的主要成分。成人每日膳食中适宜的铬摄入量为20—50μg。缺铬可以导致粥样动脉硬化、糖尿病、冠心病,并影响蛋白质与RNA合成。富含三价铬的富铬酵母.可以降低Ⅱ型糖尿病患者血糖及血浆胰岛素,又可降低高血脂患者的TC,TG,LDL—C,并升高HDL—C。富铬酵母可作为预防和治疗上述疾病的食品应用于医学和食品工业中,也可作为饲料添加剂应用于畜牧业中。
Chromium is one of the essential trace elements in human body, Cr3 + is the basis of glucose tolerance factor (GTF). The best ingestion quantity of chromium in diet is 20 - 50μg for adults everyday, Lack of chromium can cause arteriosclerosis, diabetes, coronary disease, and influence the synthesis of protein and RNA. Chromium-rich Yeast that enriched with Cr^3+ can reduce the concentration of blood sugar and blood insulin in diabetes patients, and also reduce the TG, TC, and LDL-C but increase HDL-C in hyperlipaemia patients.
