摘要
城市是文化的积聚地,都市是文化的聚焦点,在全球化背景中开展世界都市文化的比较研究,可加强都市文化的个性与现状的研究,加强不同文化交流与影响的研究,加强文化发展历史与趋势的研究,加强民族文化与世界文化发展的研究。在继承借鉴已有的文化研究理论和方法的基础上,努力拓展研究视野、努力推陈出新,使都市文化比较研究拓展至一个新的境界。
Cities are where cultures accumulate, while metropolises are where cultures focus. Conducting comparative studies of metropolitan cultures in the background of the global scale can strengthen research on the specific character and status quo of metropolitan cultures in the world, on exchange and influence between different cultures, on the history and trend of cultural development, and on the development of national and global cultures. On the basis of carrying forward and using for reference the theo- ries and methods available with regard to cultural research, we should make great efforts to enlarge our field of research vision and to bring forth the new by weeding through the old so that we may further advance our comparative studies of metropolitan cultures and propel them to a new level.
