摘要
隐喻是用一种事物来理解和体验另外一种事物的方式。隐喻是人类认知的工具,它植根于人类的语言,思维和文化中,也是语言理解和语言习得中不可缺少的工具。分析了英汉语言中动物名称隐喻所具有的特点,产生的原因及它们之间的异同。不仅有助于克服英汉语之间的交流障碍,还可促进不同民族文化的交流与融合。
Metaphor is a way of understanding another thing. Rooted in human language, thinking and culture, metaphor is a mode to experience the world and acquire languages. The paper analyzes the characteristics of animal names and similarities and differences between Chinese and English animal names. It not only helps to overcome the obstacles of communication, but also promote the mutual communication and integration between different cultures.
