摘要
城市设计以人为中心，是从总体环境出发的规划设计工作，文章主要从城市特征、人文关怀和可持续发展三个角度探讨了城市设计所具有的意义，强调了城市设计的目的在于改善城市的整体形象和环境美观，提高人们的生活质量。
Human centered urban design starts off from a concern of the overall environment. This paper studies the significance of urban design in achieving city particularity, humanistic care, and sustainable development, and stresses that the goal of urban design lies in the improving of a city＇s overall image, environmental beauty and its citizens＇ standard of living.
