摘要
柳宗元一生,尤其是他的晚年与佛教特别是天台宗、禅宗结下了不解之缘。佛理对其贬逐心态的调整起了较为重要的作用,人生道路随之有了很大的改变。诗人认为儒释相通,弘佛可以济儒,生活中常以统合儒释为己任,身体力行,并体现在山水诗等创作的审美进程中。他的诗艺因此有着新的开拓,达到一种宗教和艺术相互交织的境界。柳宗元统合儒释的精神义脉源之于谢灵运,而他的这一努力又对苏轼等后代文人产生了深远的影响。
All Liu Zongyuan 's life, especially his later years, was irrevocably committed to Buddhism (Tiantai Sect and Chan Sect). Buddhist philosophy gave its influence on the adjustment of Liu's psychology after being banished, which led to his change in the life direction. He believed that the Confucianism could be interpreted and the development of Buddhism could benefit Confucian scholars. In his daily life, he regarded the interpretation of Confucianism as his task and earnestly practiced what he advocated, which was reflected in his beauty appreciation and poem creation. His poetry developed and rose to the level of combination of religion and art. Liu's spirit in interpreting the Confucianism derived from Xie Lingyun. And Liu's efforts exerted influence on scholars in later ages, such as Su Shi.
