Objective To study CD 41 and CD 62p changes and their clinical significance in patients with coronary heart disease(CHD) who were treated with pereutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Methods The study group was comprised of 98 consecutive patients who underwent PCI, of which 50 patients unstable angina pectoris and 48 patients were had stable angina pectoris. At the same time 40 angiographically normal patients were as controls. The expression of CD 41 and CD 62p was examined by flow cytometry. Results Post-procedural levels of CD 41 and CD 62p showed a significant decrease compared with preprocedural levels, then tended to increase, and arrived at the peak at 4 h after PCI. Preprocedural and peak levels of CD 41 and CD 62p were significantly higher in patients with unstable angina pectoris than those in patients with stable angina pectoffs. Conclusion The activity of platelet showed a dynamic change before and after PCI, and activation of platelet was positively related to stability of plaque.
